John Crouse,
Age 84, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away April 17, 2022 at the Cape May Retirement Community in Wilmington.
He was born January 7, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Burdette Rhoades & Inez H. (Vance) Crouse.
John was a fourth generation farmer on his beloved family farm, Gusty Knoll Farm. He had been a Miami Township, Montgomery County, Volunteer Firefighter, had been a semi-pro Hockey Player on the farm team for the Boston Bruins, played for the Kettering Banjo Society, was an avid horseshoe pitcher, and was a member of the amateur Ham Radio Society.
Surviving are his wife- Ann (Simers) Crouse; 4 sons- Steve (Karen) Crouse, Mike (Jackie) Crouse, Nathaniel Crouse, Jay Crouse and step-son- Mike Gessner, all of Dayton; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter- Julie Ann Crouse; son- Bobby Crouse; and brother- Jim Crouse.
A Celebration of Life Time will be held from 1-3 PM, Saturday, April 30, 2022 at New Antioch Church of Christ, 1101 Antioch Road, Wilmington, Ohio.
The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
