John W. Cooper, Sr

Age 74, of Sommerville, Ohio formerly of the Wilmington area, passed away Monday afternoon, December 29, 2014 at the McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford, Ohio.  He was born May 3, 1940 in Waverly, Ohio to the late Milton Vernon & Bessie Marie (Jackson) Cooper.  He married Ruth Ann Cooper, who passed away February 27, 2003.  He was also preceded in death by his son- Tracy A. Cooper on July 9, 2005.
Survivors include his 4 children- John W. Cooper, Jr, Hillsboro, Charles Cooper, Hillsboro, Lisa (Mike) Kratzer, Midland, Steve (Tracy) Cooper, Sommerville; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother- Owen (Rose) Cooper, Reesville; sister- Ethel (John) Nelson, Wilmington; and several nieces & nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon, Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Sugar Grove Cemetery.
The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington is serving the family.
Memorial contributions in Mr. Cooper’s memory may be given to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
