Jo Ann Ray, 83, died Saturday, January 14, 2017, surrounded by family and loved ones at Quaker Community Care in Waynesville, Ohio.
She was born June 11, 1933 in Jamestown Ohio to Virginia Hoskins McKay and Ernest P. McKay.
Jo Ann was devout a Christian and was a member of the Wilmington Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by husband James Ray and granddaughter Jessica Davis. She is survived by four children, John Ray of Sabina, Diane Anders(Rick) of Octa , Denise Hurry(David) of Stillwater, MN, Mike Ray(Jerri) of Wilmington. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Sister, Linda Hilterbrandt (Jim) of Wilmington, step- sisters Patty Hull of New Vienna, Betty Sanderson, deceased.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Quaker Heights Care Community in Waynesville for the love and care Jo Ann received during her short illness.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 1:00 at Wilmington Sugar Grove Cemetery with Pastor Mike Carosiello officiating. A small gathering will be held after the service at the Wilmington Assembly of God for those who wish to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wilmington Assembly of God Church or the charity of your choice.
