Joan M. Durren,
Age 80, of Wilmington, Ohio, formerly of Benton Harbor, passed away quietly on June 12, 2013 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio.
Joan was born April 19, 1933 in Owosso, Michigan, the daughter of the late William & Bernice (Detweiler) Bravender. Joan was a stay at home mom throughout her life, taking care of her loving family. On June 20, 1953 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, she married Jerry Durren, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her 4 children- Randy Durren, Roxboro, NC, Jeffrey Durren, Benton Harbor, MI, Jeri Ann Durren, Wilmington, & David Durren, Newport News. VA; brother- William "Bud" Bravender, Benton Harbor, MI; 2 sisters- Jackie (John) Keller, Stevensville, MI & Susan Bravender, Columbia City, IN; 8 grandchildren- Carrie, Joshua, Jaime, Jason, Jennifer, Benjamin, Joelle, & Jacob; 5 great-grandchildren- Aleecyana, Easton, Josselyn, Tony, Janelle, & Adriana. In addition to her parents and her loving husband, Jerry, Joan was preceded in death by a great grandson, Logan Durren and a great granddaughter, Kylie McWright.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
