Joan Lucille Albert

  Joan Lucille Albert, age 94, of Mowrystown, Ohio, passed away early Saturday morning, August 19, 2023 at Monarch Meadows Nursing Home in Seaman.  
 
 She was born September 10, 1928 in West Alexandria, Ohio, daughter of the late Arthur and Martha (Duerr) Stukins.
 
 Joan was a member of Mowrystown Church of Christ. She had worked at Robert Shaw in Hillsboro and Johnson Controls in Greenfield. Joan was a devoted farmer's wife, mother, and grandmother.
 
 Surviving are her daughter, Martha "Martie" (Charles "Butch") Bratton of Mowrystown; daughter-in-law, Patsy Albert of Sardinia; grandchildren: William (Terry) Albert, Daniel (Sarah) Albert, Craig (Shelby) Bratton, Chuck (Courtney) Bratton, Angie Wright, and Jeff (Jenny) Scott; great-grandchildren: Cayla Bratton (Jeremy Cook),  Cylee Bratton, William Albert,  James Albert, Charlie Bratton, and Oliver Bratton; and a brother, John Stukins. Also surviving are extended family members: Katie, Ryan, Max, and Lucas Pollard; Mark, Rachel, Zane, and Harper Wright;  Megan, Richie, Calvin, and Cooper Cox; and Nathan, Brittany, and Rahm Scott.
 
 In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Edwin Albert, son, David Albert, granddaughter-in-law, Elly (Manor) Albert, grandson-in-law, Derek Troy Wright, brother, Charles H. "Bud" Stukins, and a sister, Jane Stukins.
 
 A Celebration of Life will be held at Mowrystown Church of Christ Community Building, 28 W. Main St. Mowrystown, Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Chris Gobin officiating, with fellowship to follow.
