Jerry Barr

Jerry Barr, age 77, of Mowrystown, Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Hope Health Care in Lehigh Acres, FL.

He was born November 13, 1941 in Brown County, Ohio, son of the late Stanley Ellis Barr and Cora Dean Rheinfrank Watson.

Jerry worked  for Asplundh Tree Service and served on the Mowrystown Village Council for many years. He also enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are son, Randall (Melonie) Barr of Alva, FL, daughter, Bonnie (Lynn) Gray of Sardinia, son, Barry Barr of Hillsboro, nine grandchildren, Corey Barr, Meghan (Eric) Overstreet, Brian (Cindy) Nave, Ben Gray,  Jacob (Hannah) Gray,  Jessie Williams,  Brandon (Beth) Barr, Seth (Samantha) Barr, and Jevon Barr, twelve great-grandchildren, sister, Carolyn (Butch) Davis, and step-brother Jim (Peggy) Watson.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Shelva Gene Barr, great-granddaughter, Emma Hope Barr, step- father Clarence "Grump" Watson, and a brother, Danny Barr.

Services will be held at Edgington Funeral Home, 17 E. Main St. Mowrystown, Sunday, December16, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Kraig Walker officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery, Mowrystown, Ohio.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 pm until the time of the services.
