Janet Griffith

Janet Lewis Griffith, age 83, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Drake Center in Cincinnati, OH.

She was born August 15, 1938 in Mowrystown, OH, daughter of the late Lester Lewis and Mabel Vance Lewis.

Janet was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church, where she had taught Sunday School and led the youth group for many years. She worked at and retired from Hobart in Hillsboro after 17 years of service.

Surviving is her husband, Charles Griffith of Hillsboro, whom she married April 7, 1987,  son, Rick (Linda) Reno of Chillicothe, three daughters, Donna Robinson of Hillsboro, Debra (Jeff) Swanger of Pennsylvania, Denise (Ray) Osborn of Loiusville, KY, a step-daughter, Debra (Patrick) Brice of Wilmington, 11 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren and her brother, Bill (Jean) Lewis.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and David Lewis and a granddaughter, Shannon Surface.

Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 11:00 am Thursday, September 23, 2021 with Pastor Mark Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hightop Cemetery at Samantha.

Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, 5:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
