Janet L. Burton, age 75, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, January 16, 2012 a3 Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center.
She was born July 10, 1936 in Bath County, KY, daughter of the late Taylor Reed and Clara Moore Reed.
Janet was a homemaker and had worked at Heartland Nursing Center as a cook.
She was a member of the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Connie (Randy Ferguson) Sexton, of Hillsboro, Sharon (Mike) Mann of Defiance, OH, and Karen Schutte of New Vienna; one son, Roger Wayne Burton of Hillsboro; also 21 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Clyde and Lloyd Reed, 2 sisters, Christine Shoemaker and Mary Harmon and a son , Roger T. McClure.
Services will be held at Samantha Free Will Baptist Church, with Wylie Perkins officiating on Thursday, January 19, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Prospect Cemetery, Hillsboro, Ohio.
Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, on Wednesday January 19 from 6 to 8 PM
