James W. Ham Sr., age 95, of Hillsboro, passed away early Sunday morning, May 7, 2017 at home.
He was born February 16, 1922 in Bourbon County, KY, son of the late Jenning Bryan Ham and Ida Martin Snapp Ham.
James was an United States Army WWII Veteran, having served in North Africa and Italy. He was a farmer all of his life and had retired from General Motors after over 25 years of service.
Surviving are two daughters, Jean (Bobby) Klaas of Tipp City and Marlene Stephenson of Hillsboro, son, James W. Hamm Jr. of Delaware, seven grandchildren, Darren, Doug, Heather, Bryan, Brandy, Travis, and Todd, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by wife, Lavern Hamm, whom passed away on November 18, 2008, two sisters, Jessie Hanley and Emma Jean Hughes, and a brother Roy Lee Ham.
Graveside Services will be held at Dayton National Cemetery, Monday, May 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro is serving the family.
