James Sallee

James H.  Sallee,
Age 67, of Martinsville, Ohio, passed away to be with his Lord on Sunday morning,  February 19, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born December 8, 1944 in Dayton, OH, son of  the late Theodore R. & Donna M. (Stephenson) Sallee.  On August 23, 1966 in Dayton, Ohio, he married Ida M. Huston, who survives.  They have been married for over 45 years.

For 36 years James worked  for Clermont North Eastern Schools, 27 years as a classroom teacher and 9 years as the middle school principal.  He also was a substitute in Clinton County Schools for the last 7 years.

He was a member of The Church of God, Springfield. Mr. Sallee volunteered with gospel travels going to Honduras, Jamaica, Grand Cayman Islands and Panama.  He had a passion for Prison and Foreign Missions.  He served for 18 years as a religious volunteer with the Clark County Juvenile Center and was involved in the adult prison services in Madison County. He and his wife and family traveled extensively exploring the US.

In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his daughter- Jennifer (Dick) Habermehl, New Vienna; son- James Barrett (Melissa) Sallee, Jackson, MI; 8 Grandchildren; 2 sisters- Nancy (Richard) Bethel, Springfield and Marjorie Sallee, Cayman Islands and a brother- Patrick (Jane) Sallee, Guthrie, OK.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister- Juanita Williamson and a brother- Robert Sallee.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Church of God Springfield, Grand Avenue with  Rev. Ronald Cavin officiating.  Interment will follow in the Martinsville IOOF Cemetery, Martinsville, Ohio.

Friends will be received from 5 - 8 PM Friday, Feb. 24 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington, OH .
