James Ray Cooper,
age 73 of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday March 4th, 2023, after a long battle with lung cancer, at the Laurels of Blanchester Nursing Home in Blanchester, Ohio. He was born November 13, 1949, in Cincinnati Ohio, to James Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Solomon) Cooper.
He is preceded in death by his wife- Janet Louise (Mahaney) Cooper; his father- James Edward; infant brother -Joe Edward; brothers-in-law- Jerry Wayne Weddle and William Roy Brown.
James is survived by his mother- Mary Elizabeth (Solomon) Cooper; sisters-Bonnie (Roger) King of Midland, Ohio, Virginia Ann (Andrew "Andy") Wilder of Loveland, Ohio, Mary "Sue" Weddle of Milford, Ohio, Connie Brown of Florence, Kentucky, and Carol (Jesse) Francis of Cincinnati, Ohio. Nephews and nieces - Kevin King, Kimberly Vance, Michelle Wilder, Jason Wilder, Tina Weddle, David Weddle, Lisa Weddle, Amy Brown, William Brown, Stephen Brown, Brittany Brown, and Michael Schneider as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
James retired from Middle West Concrete Form then went to work for Meijer. He was very proud of all the friendships he made while working there.
Memorial services will be held Friday March 17th, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Graceland Memorial Gardens Chapel, 5989 Deerfield Rd, in Milford, Ohio. Officiating will be Chaplain Kara Kay Skovaly of Bella Care Hospice of Cincinnati. The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions in James' memory may be given to the Bella Care Hospice, 4340 Glendale Milford Road, Suite 160, Blue Ash, Ohio 45242
