James Brannon, age 71, of New Vienna, Ohio, passed away Sunday morning, August 1, 2021 at the Dayton VA Medical Center.
He was born November 29, 1949 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of Albert and Esther Brannon.
James was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Air National Guard. He loved the play cards and gaming.
Surviving are his son, James F. (Andrea Bigda) Brannon II of New Vienna, daughter, Jerry Lee (Alan) Cowin of Wilmington, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three siblings, Jerry Brannon, Esther Ann Spence, and Shirleigh Brannon, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by wife, Shirley Faye Brannon, who passed away on July 10, 2017, and a sister, Jeannette Brannon.
Memorial Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust St. Wilmington, Monday, August 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dan Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, Ohio where the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 will accord military honors.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm.
