Ivan E. McClure,
age 83, of Bunnell, FL, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Halifax Health Hospice in Port Orange, FL.
He was born November 20, 1927 in New Burlington, Ohio, son of the late Howard & Anna (Friermood) McClure. On March 29, 1948 in Greenup, Kentucky, Ivan married Wilma Hosier McClure, who survives.
A US Army WWII veteran, Ivan owned and operated the McClure Landscape Nursery in New Carlisle, Ohio for many years.
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his 2 sons- Caroll McClure, Bunnell, FL & Alan McClure, Jamestown; Seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; Two great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters- Evelyn Wagner, Pleasant Hill, Ohio, Thelma Johnson, Moraine, Ohio, & Frances Osborne, Xenia, Ohio; & several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son- Randy McClure; brother- Everett McClure; & 2 sisters- Geneva Coe & Mary Ellen Earley
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 Noon, Friday, October 7, 2011 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington, with Rev. James Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the New Burlington Cemetery, New Burlington, Ohio.
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, from 11:00 AM until the time of services on Friday.
