Harvey E Florea,Jr.
age 82, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away, Monday afternoon, April 30, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. On June 4, 1950, he married Doris M. Storer, who survives.

He was born April 19, 1930 in Sligo, OH, son of late Harvey E  & Opal (Croy) Florea Sr.

Harvey graduated from Adams Township High School and was a Korean Conflict US Marine Corps Veteran serving from 1952 to 1954.  He also retired from the Irwin Auger Bit Co after 46 years of service.  He was a member of the Wilmington First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  Harvey was a lifelong blood donor and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He will be forever loved and remembered by family, friends and community as a great guy who was honest and truly selfless.

In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his son- Jerry (Susan) Florea, and granddaughter- Heidi M. Florea, of Martinsville, Ohio, daughter- Susan D. (Robert) Ott, of St. Augustine, FL and  granddaughter- Denise (Steve) Beets, grandson- Daniel (Rebecca) Ott, both of Cincinnati, OH;  great-grandchildren- Austin Beets, Elizabeth Anne, Cameron, & Cade Ott of Cincinnati, OH; 2 sisters- Ruth (Kenneth) Hill & Gladys Doyle, both of Wilmington, Ohio, many nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and great-nieces; & a host of relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by a sister- Hazel E. Sabin & 4 brothers- Joseph, Edison, Floyd, & Rolland Florea.
A memorial service celebrating Harvey's life will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Wilmington First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 120 East Columbus Street, Wilmington, with burial of the cremains immediately following at Sugar Grove Cemetery.  Rev. Tom Stephenson will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
