Harrison Resor Sr., age 73, a 45 year resident of Mowrystown, Ohio, passed away Sunday,  June 9, 2013 at Urgent Medical Care at Mt. Orab.

He was born January 29, 1940 in Raredon, OH, son of the late Leonard Resor  and Mabel Powel Resor.

Harrison served in the Ohio National Guard and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was also a member of the New Harmony Masonic Lodge and worked as a machinist at General Electric for 20 years,. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed playing golf, pool, scrabble and other activities.

Surviving is his wife, Evelyn Scarberry Resor of Mowrystown, OH, whom he married June 18, 1959,  daughter, Debbie Resor (Jay) McKee of Lynchburg, OH, son, Harrison (Donna) Resor Jr. of Mowrystown, OH, son, Roger (Kim) Resor of Lynchburg, OH, son, Cecil (Lori) Resor of Mt. Orab, OH, and daughter, Susie (Jim) Wallace of Mowrystown, OH. Also surviving is brothers and sisters, Evelyn (Leroy) Carle, of Sebring, FL, Georgia Dodd, of Wilmington, Bill (Helen) Resor, of Loraine, OH, and David (Judy) Resor, of Hillsboro. Other survivors include 14 grandchildren, Steve McKee, Kristy McKee Fawley, April Resor Taylor, Dale Resor, David Resor, R.D. Resor, Faith Resor Powih, Paula Resor, Justin Resor, Bryant Resor, Elizabeth Resor, Trenidy Resor, Brandy Wallace Gadwa, and Amy Wallace, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Edgington Funeral Home, 17 E. Main St. Mowrystown  with Rev. Alan Hunt officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery where the Highland County Honor Guard will conduct full military honors. Visitation will be Wednesday, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. with masonic services at 2:00pm.
