Harold A. Brown, age 98, a lifelong resident of Clinton County, died peacefully at his home in Wilmington Wednesday, November 14, 2012 surrounded by his family.
He was born September 14, 1914 in Clinton County, OH, son of the late Wilbur Brown and Florence Inlow Brown.
He was a member of Wilmington Church of Christ where he was an Elder Emeritus.
Surviving are wife, Nelva "Nev" Eickenhorst Brown of Wilmington, OH, daughter, Judith (Raymond) Kagrise of Cincinnati, grandchildren Valarie Walters, of Cincinnati, David (Brigette) Walters, of near Ashville, NC, and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are step-son, Lee (Angie) Eickenhorst, of Clarksville, two step-daughters, MaryAnn (Tom) Hammond, of Frankfort, KY, and Gail Eickenhorst, of Somerset, KY; step-grandchildren, Dustin, Dana, and Danise Eickenhorst, .Heather (Clete) McAnich, Hollie Jo Hurt, Edward (Tina) Hammond, and Larry Michael (Melissa) Hammond, and 7 step-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Harold was preceded in death by his first wife of 64 years, Mary Alice Heeg Brown, who died in 2000, and their son, Harold Keith Brown, who died in 1985.
Services will be held at Wilmington Church of Christ, 909 W. Locust St., Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Stephen Wetterhan officiating. Interment will follow in the Peasant Hill Cemetery , Leesburg, OH.
Friends will be received at the church Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
