Gypsy J. Goodman,
Age 98, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 28, 2022 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio.
She was born September 22, 1923 in Langley, Kentucky, daughter of the late John & Arzella (Crisp) Allen.
Gypsy had worked for the NCR Corp. and was a member of Wilmington United Methodist Church, the Elks Lodge 797 Auxiliary, Junior Mother's Club, participated in lots of school activities and volunteered at the Murphy Theater in Wilmington. Gypsy was known for her laughter, wit, and sense of fun. She had the most amazing stories and was always overflowing with love, loyalty and acceptance.
Surviving are son- Garland "Butch" (Mary Ann Foland) Goodman of Wilmington; grandchildren- Gary (Loretta) Goodman of Chillicothe, OH, Justin (Steve) Goodman of Lebanon, OH, Sally Cumberland, of Dayton and Amy Wallace, of Washington State; great-grandsons- Gage, Ripley, & Beckett Goodman; 2 great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law- Frank Cumberland; 3 nieces & 3 nephews.
In addition to her parents, Gypsy was preceded in death by her husband- Neilus "Tank" Goodman; daughter- Pat Goodman Cumberland; and 5 brothers & 4 sisters.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
