Gregory L. Waits, age 58, of Wilmington, OH, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015 at home.
He was born November 22, 1957 in Wilmington, OH, son of the late Sheldon Irton Waits Jr. and Joyce Marie Norman Waits.
Gregory was a an excellent union brick layer, had won several world arm wrestling championships, and was an Eagle Scout.
Surviving are wife, Penny Waits of Wilmington, OH, whom he was married to for 35 years, two daughters, Jammie Hudson of Wilmington and Mindy (Alex) Johnson of Wilmington, two grandsons, Logan Hudson and Gabriel Everman, two step-granddaughters, Jessica and Hannah Johnson, uncle, Buddy Norman, aunt, Ona Lee, three close friends, Vince, Chucky, and Gary, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gregory was preceded in death by sister, Lorna Gayle Waits, and brother, Jeffrey L. Waits.
Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust St., Wilmington, Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, OH.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
