Gregory A. Roberts, age 57, of Wilmington, OH, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, OH.
He was born October 2, 1954 in Wilmington, OH, son of the late Marvin A. Roberts and Olive Mae Botts Roberts.
Greg retired from R & L Carriers as the terminal manager after 38 years of service. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed camping and going to drag races.
Surviving is his wife, Debbie Roberts whom he married June 22, 1973, two sons, Gregory A. (Helen Graf) Roberts II, Joshua L. Roberts, and a daughter, Sara B. (Josh) Hughes, of all of Wilmington. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Gregory A Roberts III, Kalei M. Roberts, Madison T. Roberts, McKenzie Frost, Bailey Blough, Keera L. Roberts, Avery Hughes, and Emily Hughes. Brothers and sisters surviving include Ronald L. (Janet) Roberts of Luella, GA, Elizabeth A. (Earl) Evans of Wilmington, Linda (Ronald) Campbell II of Lebanon, Ralph Larry (Mary) Roberts of Ocala, FL, and Gary T. Roberts of Lakeland, FL. Other family members include his mother-in-law, Betty J. Hamilton of Wilmington, brother-in-law, Roger Hamilton of Wilmington, 4 sisters-in-law, Carolyn Thompson of Sun City, AZ, Mabel Moore of Phoenix, AZ, Beverly (Mike) Davis of Wilmington, and Connie (Lester) Roe of Wilmington, and several nieces & nephews .
In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his step-father, Robert C. Botts, father-in-law, Ronald C. Hamilton, and two sisters-in-law, Linda Roberts, and Patricia Hamilton.
Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Friday, September 28, 2012 at 11:00 am with Pastor David Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, OH.
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Thursday, September 27, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. .
