Grace Nicely

Grace Ellen Stuckert Nicely,
age 90, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away, Tuesday evening, January 30, 2018 at the Wilmington Nursing and Rehab Center in Wilmington, Ohio.
She was born September 30, 1927 in Westboro, Ohio the youngest child of the late Charles & Clara (Vollrath) Stuckert.  On January 1, 1948, she married John J. Nicely, who passed away June 8, 1988.
She was a graduate of Adams Township High School in the class of 1945.  She was a long time member of the First Christian Church in Wilmington.  Also, a former employee of the GC Murphy Co., she worked periodically from 1944-1966, when she became full time Personnel Director until the store closed in December of 1985.  At one time, she was a member of the Todays Mothers Club and also belonged to one of the "Twigs" at Clinton Memorial Hospital.  After retirement, she became active at the Clinton County Senior Center, where she loved to volunteer her services there.  Grace also loved to bowl, in which she was a very good bowler.

Surviving are her daughters- Sharon Kay (James) Snider of Cincinnati, OH, & Brenda Marie (William) Minton, Wilmington;  grandchildren- Jeffrey (Heidi) Minton, Kimberly (Craig) Rees &  Kevin (Lisa) Snider; and great-grandchildren- Alexia (and her mother Tiffany Chaney), Blake, Paige, & Cameron Minton, Mallory & Ryan Rees, and Maddux, Cooper, & Hudson Snider.
In addtion to her parents and husband, Grace was preceded in death by her sisters-Mildred Leach, Esther McGath & Dorothy Adams and  brothers-Robert & Loren  Stuckert, and grandson- Jamey "Skip" Minton.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington, with Pastor Tom Stephenson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH Saturday, February 3, 2018, 10:00 am - 11:00 am.
