Bailey, Georgia Ann
Age 87, of Wilmington, went to the Lord on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. Born April 13, 1924 near  Portsmouth, OH to Lena (Rider)and George Gabbert.  Preceded in death by husband of 60 years, Everett Lafayette Bailey, one brother, one sister, two granddaughters and one great-grandson. She is survived by her brother George. She is also survived by daughter Ruth (Richard) Burton of Centerville, OH; son George (Colleen) Bailey of Martinsville, OH and dear friend Chris (Missy) Townsend of Connecticut.  Grandchildren : Joe (Jennifer) Burton of California, Rich (Angie) Burton of Alaska, Amber (Tom) Struckman  and Heather (Jay) Bruns of OH, Holly (Brad) McAlister  and Libby (Chris) Rose of Oklahoma and Spencer Bailey of Washington.  There are nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.  Ann is beloved by all who knew her as she taught school in the East Clinton district and ministered to her friends at Butlerville United Methodist Church.  She earned her Bachelors Degree at Wilmington College at the age of 52 and her Masters at Xavier University at 56.  She was devoted to her family and friends and served wherever she could in her church and her community.  Ann bequeathed her body to the School of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati.  A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 18 at 3:00 pm at the Butlerville United Methodist Church, 8494 St Rt 132, Pleasant Plain, OH.  Contributions in honor of her life may be made to the church.
