George Bush

George F Bush 86, of Wilmington, OH. passed away Thursday March 24, 2022 due to heart complications.

George was preceded in death by his wife Charlene McGreevy Bush, of 46 years whom he married in April 1964 in Columbus OH.

Mr. Bush was born September 26, 1935 in West Virginia to the late Lena and Avon J Bush.

 

George was the owner of Bush Auto Place and Bush Leasing. and an active member of many organizations within Clinton County such as National Bank and Trust, Nike Center, Pan Ohio Cancer Bicycle Fundraiser, Clinton County Council of Alcoholics Anonymous, St. Columbkille Catholic Church, The Wilmington Bike Club, and the Sarasota Florida Bike Club just to name a few. He was passionate about the community he lived in and he was always donating his time and service to many organizations within the community. While he will always be remembered as an active member of the community his family and close friends will always remember his optimistic and caring attitude towards life. He truly was interested in how you were doing, always had a story to make you laugh, and looked at life as a “glass half full rather than half empty”

His most cherished times were those spent with this family and friends, which includes his many travels by bike, boat, RV, or plane!  We will truly miss him

Mr. Bush is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael (Lisa) Bush of Maineville, Oh. and Mark (Andrea) Bush of Wilmington, Oh.; a daughter and a son-in-law, Michelle (Kurt) Imhulse of Atlanta, GA .; a daughter Marcia Drake of Buckhannon WV, a sister Ella (Dale) Forsythe of Cumberland KY, brother-in-law Michael (Kathleen) McGreevy of Logan, Oh., sister-in-law Margaret (Robert) Walter of Columbus, Oh., sister-in-law Christine (Judd) Bush of Columbus, Oh.; brothers-in-law Don Haines,  Michael Dodd of Columbus, Oh,  and a special friend Jean Lay of Wilmington Oh.

 

George was a proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren, Alex Bush, Abigail Bush, Riley Bush, Summer Bush, Bailey Bush, Nicholas Bush, Andrew Bush, Joseph Bush, Kyle Imhulse, and Kevin Imhulse; Brad Drake, and Jenny Drake and 5 great grandchildren. He also loved and was loved by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, two sisters Doris (Richard) Wolverton, Susan (Pete) Rippe, brother Judd (Christine) Bush, three sisters-in-law Lois (Robert) Welsh and Judith Dodd, Karen Haines are preceded in death.

 

Graveside services for George F. Bush will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023 with Rev. Bernard Weldishofer officiating. The Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Honor Guard will conduct full military honors. The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home is serving the family. www.edgingtonfuneralhomes.com
