Geneva Fae Reeder,
Age 90, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday morning, January 25, 2016 at the Quaker Heights Nursing Home in Waynesville, Ohio.
She was born June 2, 1925 in New Vienna, Ohio, daughter of the late John Esmond & Bertha Artisha (Smith) Rhoades. On November 27, 1946, she became the beloved wife to Forrest Edwin Reeder, who passed away on June 30, 2001. They were married for over 54 years.
Fae had worked as a Cook for Wilmington City Schools for over 28.5 years. A 1944 Wilmington High School Graduate, she had been a member of the FOE #1224 Aux, VFW Post #6710 Aux, American Legion Post #49 Aux, all of Wilmington & the Clinton County Senior Citizens Center.
She is the loving mother to her Daughter- Darlene (Phil) Goldie of Waynesville and Son- David (Melissa) Reeder of Wilmington. Doting Franny to Rebecca (Steve) Brannon, & Rachel Goldie, Johnathan (Rachel) Reeder & Matthew (Sarah) Reeder and Great-Grandmother to Jack Carroll, Megan Kyne, Joshua Brannon, Nicholas Reeder, Sylvia Reeder and Evan Reeder and her loving Twin Sister- Rena Mae Donahue of Cincinnati, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, Fae was preceded in death by her 2 brothers- Cecil & Wayne Rhoades; & 4 sisters- Velma Miller, Mary Williamson, Olive Walker, & Gladys Poe.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, January 29 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Rev. Dean Feldmeyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Springfield Friends Cemetery, Wilmington, OH.
Friends will be received from 12 Noon until the time of services at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home. The Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aux. #1224 will have a memorial tribute service.
