Gary Whitman

Gary Whitman, age 67, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek.

He was born September 4, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio, son of Robert Lee Whitman and Darlene Marlatt Whitman.

Gary was a United States Marine Corp Veteran of the Vietnam War and had retired from General Motors.

Surviving is his loving wife of over fifty years, Cheryl Whitman, whom he married September 26, 1970, son, Brian (Lisa) Whitman of Bellbrook, daughter, Angela Whitman of Dayton, grandson, Kevin Whitman, granddaughter, Ashley Brush, and two brothers, Kenny and Bob Whitman.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Whitman and Darlene Gustin, and a sister.

Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust St. Wilmington, Monday, August 30, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mike McCormick officiating.  Interment will follow in the Valley View Memorial Gardens, Beavercreek, Ohio.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
