Franklin Henry Roudebush,
age 87, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Wednesday morning May 14, 2014 at the Quaker Heights Nursing Home in Waynesville, Ohio.
He was born September 30, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Russel Franklin & Clara Sophia (Stallman) Roudebush. On September 16, 1987 in Wilmington, he married Carolyn Davis Roudebush, who survives.
A 1944 graduate of the Fairmont High School in Dayton, he spent his early years as a brick mason. A WWII US Army Air Corp Veteran, Frank served 18 months in the South Pacific in the Chemical Warfare Section in the Mariannas Islands. After the war, he attended the Tinished Parker Co-Op Welding school on the GI Bill. In 1957, he moved to Clinton County to farm.
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his son- Terry (Laura) Roudebush of Wilmington; daughter- Misty Dove of SC; step-daughters- Rhonda (David Payne) Wheasler of Wilmington, OH, & Robyn (David) Payton of Wilmington, OH; 6 grandchildren- Jacob, Leah, Serenity, Elijah, Bryan & Zoe; 4 step-grandchildren- Brandon, Martin, Alexandra, & David Jr; and a step-great-granddaughter- Autumn .
Friends will be received from 10 AM to 11 AM, Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry St., Wilmington. Graveside funeral services will immediately follow at the New Maple Grove Cemetery, Port William, Ohio.
