Francis Eugene Maxwell,
age 78, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away late Wednesday night, December 4, 2019 at the Jamestown Place Health and Rehab Center in Jamestown, Ohio.
He was born January 29, 1941 in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, son of the late Cloyce Vinton & Nina Marie (Oge) Maxwell. On October 3, 1959, he married Linda Lou (Smith) Maxwell, who survives. Additional Survivors include her 4 sons- Craig Maxwell, Loveland, CO, Eric Maxwell, Windsor, CO, Brian (Serena) Maxwell, Mesa, AZ, & David (Kendra) Maxwell, Wilmington, CO; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother- Richard Maxwell, West Burlington, CO; 2 sisters- Judy Moyer, Burlington, Iowa, & Karen Ash, Bonapart, Iowa.
In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his daughter- Theresa Leslie.
A US Army National Guard Vietnam War Era veteran, Gene was a member of the Church of God World Wide Association in Cincinnati. He had done many occupations in his life including being a teacher in the National Guard, teaching Truck Driving courses, driving a semi for over 25 years, operating a window cleaning business, and had delivered trucks for Hercules Trucking in Kentucky.
Remembrance times in Gene's memory will be held at 12:00 Noon, Sunday, December 15, 2019 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home in Wilmington, Ohio.
