He was born January 9, 1934 in Hamersville, OH, son of the late Lucian B. and Lena M. Horn Lindsey.
Woody was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Surviving are wife, Marilyn Ruth Main, whom he married on September 5, 2006, 6 children, Deniese D. (Darrell) Short of Portland, TN, Dennis W. (Rosalie) Lindsey of Sabina, OH, Sheryl R. Russell of Greenfield, OH, Francis "Corky" (Leah) Lindsey Jr. of London, OH, Mitzi R. (Harold) Kirby of Portland, TN, and Ricky Smotherman of TN, 3 step-children, Kathleen Main of Greenfield, OH, Pete (Trish) Main of Greenfield, OH, and Brian Main of HI, 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Howard Ray Lindsey of AL, sister, Marie Holt of NC, and brother-in-law, Ray Kinnett.
In addition to his parents, Francis was preceded in death by first wife, Naomi June Moberly Lindsey, great-grandchild, Cassandra Naomi Montoya, and 6 siblings, Joseph Lindsey, Maudie Day, Inez Kinnett, Fred Lindsey, Clarence Lindsey, and Gayle Lindsey`.
Graveside Services will be held at Hillsboro Cemetery, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:00 am.
The Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home is serving the family.
