Forest W. Morgan, age 87, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away Tuesday morning, September 8, 2015 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
He was born November 20, 1927 in Highland County, OH, son of the late John and Beryl Beatrice (Streber) Morgan .
Forest was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro, Hillsboro American Legion, and an U.S. Army Veteran, where he served during the Korea conflict.
Surviving are two sons, Dana (Yun-Pei Wu) Morgan of Gurnee, IL and David (Roselyn) Morgan of Holbrook, MA, three grandchildren, Kellie Morgan, Kevin Morgan, and Ryan Morgan, two brothers, Charles R.(Ruby) Morgan of Hillsboro and Thomas M. (Norma) Morgan of Batavia, three step-children, James (Carolyn) Hamilton, Joyce (Ralph) Holt, and Anthony (Karen) Haley, five step-grandchildren, Tim Hamilton, Ann (John) Yarman, Sheri Holt-Dombrauckas, Emily Holt, Karianne (Christopher) Percell, eleven step-great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Patricia Morgan and Patricia Morgan, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
In addition to his parents Forest was preceded in death by his first wife, Bertha Louise Morgan, second wife, Betty Jane Morgan, and 2 brothers, Harold and Herschel Morgan.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home with Rev. Maurice Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery, Sugartree Ridge, Ohio, where the Highland County Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
Friends will be received Friday, September 11, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, Ohio.
