Ernest William "Big Ern" Mondabaugh,
76, of Lynchburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday morning, March 29, 2016 at 5:15 AM.
He was born December 10, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio.
Ernie was known for his passion of old cars, weight lifting, arm wrestling, and playing corn hole with his friends. He was a loving husband, father, & grandfather.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years- Sharon Altman Mondabaugh; 3 sons & a daughter- Ernest (Anissa) Mondabaugh, Jr., Greg Mondabaugh, Chad (Kim) Mondabaugh, & Crystal (Jeff) Green; 8 grandchildren- Ashley (Wesley) McClure, Aaron Green, Brittney, Brennon, & Kalee Mondabaugh, Katlin (Jon) Watts, Sean and Bryan Mondabaugh; 5 great-grandchildren- Bryleigh & Brantley McClure, Dalton Green, Ariana Stevens, & Jackson Lee; brothers- Richard (Judi) DuBois, & John (Teri) Shafer; sister- Thelma (Rick) Emmons; & several nieces & nephews.
Ernie was preceded in death by his mother- Eileen Shafer; uncle & aunt- Charlie & China Ailshire; brothers- Fred Mondabaugh, Stephen Thoroman, & Otis Mondabaugh; & a sister- Lena Bowers.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 5 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Pastor Tim Kunzweiler officiating. Interment will follow in the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 5-8 PM, Monday, April 4, at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
