Ellen Newman,
Age 73, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Friday morning. November 18, 2011 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, OH. Born October 1, 1938 in Waldo, Kentucky to the late William & Stella (Davis) Bailey.
She was a member of the Wilmington Senior Center.
Surviving are her daughter- Stella (Ronald) Cramer, Martinsville; 2 grandchildren- Ronald Cramer Jr., Martinsville and Chasity Renee Storey, of Texas; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; 3 step-daughters- Lillie Myers, of Xenia, Gladys Ison, Florence, KY, and Annabelle Hammersley, Orville, WA; 4 sisters- Donna Howard, Rose Risner, Helen Shepherd, & Ella May Bailey, all of Kentucky; and special friend- Jenny Watson.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her husband- Harley Newman; daughter- Sarah Jane Prater; 3 step-sons- Harley L. Newman, Frank Newman, & Benjamin Earl Newman; 1 sister; 3 brothers, and 2 nieces.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington. The Rev. Elizabeth J. Looney officiating. Interment will follow in the New Maple Grove Cemetery, Port William, Ohio.
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Tuesday.
