Elizabeth R. Carder,
Age 89, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away early Saturday morning, November 21, 2015 at the Cape May Retirement Community in Wilmington.
She was born December 24, 1925 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Josef & Mary (Lair) Ruef.
Elizabeth retired as the Secretary for Clinton County Soil & Conservation District. She was an avid bowler, bridge player, Cincinnati Reds Fan and had attended the First Baptist Church, Wilmington.
Surviving are her 2 daughters- Mary S. Carder of Wilmington, & Karen C. Smith of Toledo, Ohio; son- David H. Carder, St. Louis, MO; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband- Harold G. Carder in 1986 ; son- Jack B. Carder in 2012; 4 sisters and 7 brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 24 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Rev. Tim Wagner officiating. Interment will follow in the Edwardsville Cemetery, Edwardsville, Ohio.
Friends will be received from 12:00 noon until the time of services at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
