Before retiring, she had been employed by several Highland County families, including the William Sanders family, William Gerding family, Pence family, Carl Sites family and David Simkins family as nanny and housekeeper.
Known to most as Loree or Granny, her life’s work was to take care of those she loved. Whether it was her family, the families she worked for or her friends, she was always sure they were taken care of before she worried about herself. The door to her home was always open and in that home you could usually find her baking something delicious, and she loved to share her homemade goodies with those that visited and you never left her house hungry.
She had also been blessed with the gift of a green thumb and could make anything grow. From a large garden to a wilted flower, it was safe in her hands and thrived under her loving care.
She touched many lives, was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
