Edith Stacey

Edith  June Stacey,
Age 83, of Wilmington,  passed away Tuesday night, March 17, 2014 at home.

She was born April 30, 1931 in Blanchester, OH, daughter of the late Thaddeus Eugene & Florence Elizabeth (Cole) Vanderbort.  On December 27, 1952  in Wilmington,  she married Jack C. Stacey, who survives.

She was a member of the Lebanon Quilting Club and New Antioch Church of Christ, where she was involved with the Ladies Aide Group.  She had attended the Bible Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, other surviving family members are her sons-  Jack (Kathy) Stacey of Wilmington, OH,  Jeffrey Scott (Jody) Stacey of Wilmington, OH, James Merrill (Teresa) Stacey of Wilmington, OH,  Jay Thaddeus (Lisa) Stacey of Midland, OH; daughter- Joanna Lee (Terry) Massie of Wilmington, OH; sister- Jean Ann (David) True of Wilmington, OH; 13 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Edith  was preceded in death by her daughter- Jeannette Ann Stacey in 1972..

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington  with Rev. Kelly McInerney  officiating.  Interment will follow in the New Antioch Cemetery, New Antioch, Ohio.

Friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of services at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
