Earl W. "Corky" Lynn
age 94, of Wilmington, passed away on Friday morning, December 13, 2013 at Cape May Retirement Village in Wilmington, Ohio. He was born on April 27, 1919 in Keisterville, PA, son of Ernst & Mary (Russell) Lynn. On July 15, 1944 in Uniontown, PA, Corky married his beloved wife of 66 years- Mary Alice Dunlevy Lynn, who preceded him in death on November 23, 2010.
Earl served in World War II in the Pacific Theatre with the US Air Force as a Staff Sergeant with the 497th Bombardment Group. He worked for the Federal Government in Cleveland, Ohio until his retirement. While with the government, he was involved in work with the Department of Defense and NASA.
Earl is survived by his son Doug and wife Tricia and his grandsons, Brian Lynn and Trevor Lynn. He also has many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Earl was preceded in death by his granddaughter- Stephanie H. Lynn.
Friends were received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 North Gallatin Ave, Uniontown, PA 15401 on Wednesday December 18, 2013 with a 2 p.m. visitation and service at 2:30.
