Earl Ray Evans
79 years old of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Tuesday Night, March 18, 2014 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.
He was born Saturday, July 21, 1934 in Duncansville, Ohio, son of the late Charles Horton & Flossie Ellen (Beavers) Evans. On September 24, 1955 in Lawrenceburg, IN, he married Elizabeth A. Roberts Evans, who survives.
He was a veteran of US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his Son- Marvin (Margaret) Evans of Port William, Ohio; 3 Daughters- Kathy (Jon) Williams of Wilmington, Ohio, Melinda (Dean) Ewing of Wilmington, Ohio, & Rhonda (Randy) Jones of Wilmington, Ohio; 13 Grandchildren; 5 Step-Grandchildren; 17 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Step-Great-Grandchildren Twin Sister- Pearl Faye (Jack) Flynn of Mainesville, Ohio; & Sister- Lorraine (Dick) Fite of West Chester, Ohio.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his 4 Brothers-Charles, Leonard, James, and Robert Evans.
Friends will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, Ohio.
Funeral Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Pastor David VanHoose officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio, where the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Memorial Squad will accord full military honors.
