M. Douglas Shotsky,
Age 63, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Friday afternoon, December 2, 2011 at his residence in Wilmington, Ohio.
He was born July 6, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents. On July 30, 1983 in Wilmington, Doug married Sharon K. Couch Shotsky, who survives.
A US Army Vietnam War Era Veteran, Doug retired as a supervisor of the Motor Carrier Enforcement Division of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his son- Jim Shotsky, Pataskala, Ohio; step-son- Russ (Olaya) Walker, Wilmington; step-daughter- Kim Walker, Washington Court House, Ohio; 6 grandchildren- Zach, Andrea, Paula, Olaya, Cali, & Carlos; brother- William Lee (Carol) Shotsky, New Holland, Ohio; sister- Leilana Penwell, of MI; many nieces, nephews, & cousins; and his loyal companions- D.T. & Effie.
Funeral Services will be held 5:00 PM, Thursday, December 8 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Pastor Dan Mayo officiating. The Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Memorial Squad will accord full military honors.
