Doug Chaney

Doug Chaney, age 60, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

He was born January 7, 1961 in Greenfield, Ohio, son of Roger Ernest Chaney and Geraldine Bachelor Chaney.

Doug loved to fish and was a plumber for many years.

Surviving are his wife, Stephanie Chaney whom he married on January 7, 2017, three children, K.C. Chaney, Josh Chaney, and Geri (Xavier) Newsome, seven grandchildren, Xavier Newsome II, Zuriah Newsome, Amara Chaney, Finnley Chaney, Izaac Chaney, Xander Chaney, and Tay Chaney, father, Roger (Saundra) Ernest Chaney, sister, Chris Casto, three brothers, Tim Chaney, Scott Chaney, and Mike Chaney, and several nieces & nephews.

Douglas was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Bachelor Chaney.

Memorial Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Chris Brown officiating.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
