Doug Chambers, age 55, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, July 28, 2015 at home.
He was born November 17, 1959 in Georgetown, OH, son of Robert Dale Chambers and Amy Jean Ferguson Chambers, who survive.
Doug worked as a meat cutter for over 35 years with the last 21 years at Kroger's in Eastgate. Graduate of Hillsboro High School Class of 1977 and had attended the Laurel Oaks where he studied meat cutting. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Bengals Fan.
Surviving are 2 sons, Chad Douglas (Nicole) Chambers of Hillsboro & Robert Dale (Blanca) Chambers of North Dakota, 2 grandsons, Weiland Chambers & Oren Chambers, 2 sisters, Vicki (Mike) Vance of Hillsboro & Teal (Chuck) Sexton, Hillsboro, 2 nephews, Brandon (Mistey) Vance & Ryan (Ashley) Sexton, 3 nieces, Bobbi (Jarrod) Bloomfield, Kelley Hetzel, & Kaelee (Preston) Lowe, 10 great-nieces and nephews, Reece & Deegen Bloomfield, Lane, Lexey, Lance, & Logan Hetzel, Logan & Baylee Carey, Bentlee Lowe, & Austin Sexton.
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery, New Market, Ohio.
Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, Ohio Friday, July 31, 2015, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
