Dorothy Eleanor Morris Walker,
Age 95, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away, early Sunday morning, October 14, 2012at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, OH.

She was born May 15, 1917, near Hillsboro, in Highland County, OH, daughter of the late Samuel Roscoe Morris  and Martha Marie Southern Morris.  She was the middle child of a family of nine.  She graduated from Penn Township High School in 1935, being the valedictorian of the class.  Married on November 25, 1937, to Roberds Lloyd Walker, who died on September 22, 1999.

One of Mrs. Walker's earliest collections was that of reading, which was to become one of the many treasured facets of her life.  She often expressed her thoughts in poems or stories.  At times these were written for pleasure, and at other times with a special person or event in mind.  Two of the stories were written about her daughter's many pets.  One of the poems was a patriotic skit, written for the Bicentennial of the United States.  She gave the presentation several hundred times, and felt privileged to be able to express her love for America. She never tired of bringing the message to anyone who asked her.  She felt especially honored to have been invited to represent Ohio Homemakers by performing the skit at the National Homemakers Convention held in Morgantown, West Virginia in 1976.
Mrs. Walker's avocation was sewing, which she learned from her mother.  On occasion, she created an elegant gown for a member of the family or a close friend.
She was a long-time member of the Wilmington United Methodist Church and a member of the Miriam Circle.  She attended Hebron Rebekah Lodge #157.  She was also a member of the Union Township Homemaker, which after being re-organized, became the Retreads, named by Clara Mussetter, a former member.
She and her husband moved to Clinton County in 1938.  They moved to their home on North Spring Street in 1951.  She always maintained a caring relationship with her neighbors.  She trusts the memories of her will be happy ones.  She wishes many blessings to anyone who has had a part in making her life worthwhile.

Surviving are her son- Roberds Norman Walker of Wilmington, OH, 2 grandsons- Justin Travis Walker of Wilmington, & Ian Jeremiah Walker of Wilmington, OH; 2 granddaughters- Brandy Jessica Staebel of TX, & Louise (Jay) Cawdrey of Hamilton, OH; honorary granddaughter- Joyce Norris of Hamilton, OH; One great-grandson and One great-granddaughter; sister- Ruth Anne (Estill) Newman of Dayton, OH; 2 sisters-in-law; and several cousins, nieces, & nephews.
