Dorothy Jean Shelton,

Age 84, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Friday morning, March 21, 2025 at home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born September 27, 1940 in Wilmington, daughter of the late William Edward & Mabel Louise (Huston) Potter. On January 11, 1960, in Wilmington, she married Raymond Russell Shelton, who passed on November 3, 2008.

A loving mother and grandmother, Dorothy retired from Wilmington City Schools as the janitor and was a member of the Wilmington Eagles- #1224.

Surviving are her daughters- Linda (Kevin) Strider of Wilmington, Ellen (Carl) Estep of Wilmington, & Teri Stanforth of Wilmington; grandchildren- Kathy, Jeremy, Rusty, & Josh; 12 great-grandchildren; and special friends- Steve, Annette, & Don Cramton.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughters- Hope Shelton, & Janet Simpson; grandsons- Troy Simpson, & Robert L. Simpson, and brother- Larry Potter.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry St, Wilmington. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, Ohio.

Friends will be received from 12 Noon until the time of services at the funeral home.
