Dorothy Peterson

Dorothy Nathalia Peterson,
age 91, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Monday Morning, May 4, 2015 at the Cape May Retirement Community in Wilmington.

She was born March 29, 1924 in Youngstown, OH, daughter of the late Arso  & Mabel (Stefanosky) Bolevich.  She married Dr. Stanley E. Peterson, who died March 2, 1989.

Dorothy worked as a Department Store Buyer for Woodward & Lothrup.  She was an avid bridge player, and wonderful homemaker and cook.

She was a member of  the Wednesday Book  Club, and past president of the Wilmington Garden Club.

Surviving are her step-sons- Michael (Vicki) Peterson, Columbus & Tim Peterson; daughter-in-law- Laura (James) Hobart, Wilmington; grandchildren- Sarah Ellen Peterson, Mason, Tracy (Zach) Rice, Cincinnati, & Sean Peterson, Columbus; and many nieces & nephews, including Jay & Cindy Peterson, Wilmington and Charles & Rochelle Engel, Madison, WI, David & Gretchen Engel, Houston, TX & Robert & Martee Engel, Spring, TX.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her step- son- Patrick Peterson & siblings- Lillian Engel, Mitchell Bolen, & Alexander Bolevich.

Simple Graveside Funeral Services will be held  May 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, with Pastor Mike Cowman officiating.
