Dorothy L. Mullen,
Age 89, of Clarksville, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, June 3, 2016 surrounded by her family at the Continental Manor Nursing Home in Blanchester.
She was born May 10, 1927 in Hillsboro, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry & Margurite (Boyle) Hardinge SR. On April 23, 1946, she married Paul W. Mullen, who preceded her is death on January 16, 2004.
Dorothy worked as a Cafeteria Worker for the Clinton Massie Schools and had written for the Wilmington News Journal, the Clarksville Column.
She was a member of Clarksville United Methodist Church, where she was also a member of the Twilight Workers.
Surviving are her children- Eddie (Pam) Mullen of Wilmington, Letha Turner of Clarksville, Elizabeth (Bobby) Simpson of Blackshear, GA, Barbara Cornette of Dayton, OH, & Norma (Gary) Hovermale of Clarksville; Ten grandchildren: 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister- Barbara Earley of Wilmington; Brother- Harry Hardinge, Jr. of Needles, CA; & several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter- Judy Ann Mulllen; brothers- Gordon, Maurice, & Robert Hardinge & sisters- Charlotte, Vivian, & Helen.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington.
Friends will be received from 12 Noon until 1PM, Thursday at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
