Age 83, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday morning, August 1, 2012 at home. Born December 5, 1928 in Wilmington to the late Vernon & Tessie (Miller) Nichols. On September 1, 1948, she married Roy Michaels who died September 13, 1988.
Surviving are her 3 daughters- Faith Michaels, Wilmington, Teresa Mongold, Wilmington, & Frances Smith, Midland; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by her daughter- Fonda Turner in 2000 and 3 sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, August 3, 2012 at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Truesdell Street, Wilmington, with Rev. Mike McCormick officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM, Friday, August 3 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington.
