Donald Schroeder

Donald F. Schroeder, age 91, of Sugartree Ridge, Ohio, passed away Tuesday morning, November 3, 2015 at the Georgetown Ohio Veterans Home.

He was born February 6, 1924 in Ohio County, IN, son of  late Louis Ernest Schroeder and Bessie Jane Skidmore Schroeder.

Donald was a member of the Fairfax United Methodist Church and was an US Army Veteran.

Surviving are wife, Dorothy Schroeder, whom he married on December 24, 1948, son, Jim (Karen) Schroeder of Sugartree Ridge, OH, daughter, Pat Ellis of Sardinia, OH, six grandchildren, Tami (Tom) Ellis-Wessner, Deanna (Matt) Risner, Nikki Ellis, Charlie (Bren) Knauff, Heather Ellis, and Kim (Chad) Vance, six great-grandchildren, Kayla, Clay, Hailey, Tyler, Harley, and Christopher, sister, Clara Porter of Hillsboro, OH, two brothers, J. Frederick (Georgia) Schroeder and Robert (Sandra) Schroeder, brother-in-law, Denver Conley, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by son, Steven Schroeder, sister, Jane Conley, son-in-law, Keith Ellis, and brother-in-law Floyd Porter.

Services will be held at Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown, OH, Friday, November 6, 2015 at 11:30 AM with Pastor Lloyd Shoemaker officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery, Sugartree Ridge, Ohio.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from10:00 AM until the time of the services.
