David D. Conger,
Age 67, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away after a very brief cancer prognosis, Friday morning, January 11, 2013 at his residence in Wilmington.
He was born April 7, 1945 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of the late Daniel James & Pearl Lucille (Riley) Conger. On December 18, 1981 in Wilmington, he married Lori Anderson Conger, who survives.
David retired from the Irwin Auger Bit Company after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Wilmington Eagles Lodge #1224(Life Member), the Ada Friends Chapel Meeting, Sons of the American Legion Post #49, Wilmington, the V.F.W. Post #6710, Wilmington, the Sabina Moose Lodge #1244, and the Wilmington Senior Citizens. He also owned and operated Conger Recycling for many years.
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his sons- David (Jessica) Conger, Miamisburg, & Billy Conger, of Florida; daughter- Loretta (Mike) Greene, Leesburg; step-son- James Garner, Wilmington; 4 grandchildren- Nicholas & Jessica Pennington and Kennedy & Gage Conger; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers- Ben (Mary) Conger, Wilmington, & James (Connie) Conger Sabina; 3 sisters- Dora Sholler, Reesville, Ann Willison, Sabina & Mary Pope, Leesburg; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a brother- John Conger.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Rev. Larry Barker officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio.
Friends will be received from 4 - 8 PM, Monday, January 14 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH .
