Danny Joe Stewart Sr., age 83, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away Tuesday evening, June 29, 2015 at the Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital at Drake in Cincinnati, OH.
He was born February 10, 1932 in Boyd County, KY, son of the late Russell Denver Stewart and Peggy Sara Austin .
Surviving are wife, Alisha Stewart of Hillsboro, OH, 2 daughters, Linda (David) Wilder of Paintsville, KY and Brenda (Daniel) Languedoc of Paintsville, KY, son, Danny Joe (GiGi) Stewart, Jr. of FL, step-daughter, Olivia (Michael Hicks) Gilliam of Hillsboro, 2 brothers, Robert (Lue) Stewart and James (Carlene) Stewart, 2 sisters, Mary (Bill) Mulhern and Elizabeth (Mike) Waldron, 6 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Fred Stewart, Charles "Bud" Stewart, Russell Stewart, Jr., and 2 sisters, Cookie Stewart and Loraine Henry.
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Friday, July 3, 2015 at 1:00 pm. with Rev. Dr. Daniel Lamb officiating. Interment will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery, New Market, Ohio.
Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, Ohio Thursday, July 2, 2015, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
Contributions may be directed to the funeral home to help with expenses.
