Clarence J. Schalk Jr.
Age 83, of Wilmington, passed away, Tuesday morning, October 28, 2014 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born September 15, 1931 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Clarence J. & Carrie (Osler) Schalk, Sr. On August 16, 1983 in Clarksville, he married Elise Robinson Schalk, who survives.
Clarence had been a farmer and a horse trainer in the area. He was a member of the Clinton County Horsemen's Ass'n and a Korean War Army Veteran.
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his 3 sons- Leonard Cochran, Trenton, MI, Larry (Wanda) Cochran, Romulus, MI, & Earnie (Virginia) Cochran, Trenton, MI; 4 daughters- Barbara Cline, Blanchester, Brenda (Kevin) Darlington, Woodhaven, MI, Bonnie (Mike) Farr, Clarksville, & Billie Jo (Keith) Cockerham, Blanchester; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 31, 2014, at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at N. Mulberry St, Wilmington. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio.
Friends will be received from 5-8 PM, Thursday, Oct. 30 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
