Charles Harold Norvell, Sr
Age 78, of Greenfield, Ohio, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 18, 2015 at the Edgewood Manor Nursing Home in Greenfield.
He was born February 2, 1937 in , Harveysburg, OH, son of the late William Albert & Inez Alice (Hayslip) Norvell.
Charles retired as a mechanic and welder in the automotive repair field.
A United States Marine Corps Korean Conflict Veteran, he was a past member of the Beverly, Ohio American Legion Post #40 & 8, where he had served as the 2nd Vice Commander, a member of the Beverly, Ohio Fraternal Order of the Eagles Lodge, where he had served as president, and was the former head of maintenance at the Denver Place Elementary School, Wilmington.
Surviving are his wife- Jean F. Norvell of Greenfield, OH; son- Charles H. (Lou) Norvell, Jr. of Wilmington, OH; daughter- Carmella (Greg) Wyatt of Jupiter, FL; 7 grandchildren- Jordan Little, Heather Norvell, Holly Norvell, Molly Norvell, Mariah Norvell, Christian Wyatt, & Gavin Wyatt; A great-granddaughter-Serenity Norvell; sisters- Virginia Wright of Greenfield, OH, Bonnie Peters of Fort Myers, FL, & Jean Kassar, Batavia, OH; step-sons- Kirk Birchum, & Steve Birchum, and step-granddaughter- Jamie Huff.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother- Max Norvell.
Funeral Services will be held 10 AM, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Rev. Joel Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington.
Friends will be received from 9AM until the time of services at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
