Charles R. Morgan

  Charles R. Morgan, age 93, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 22, 2023 at his home.  
 
 He was born December 7, 1929 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late John Wesley and Beryl Beatrice (Streber) Morgan. On July 22, 1950 he married Ruby (Wise) Morgan.
 
 Charles graduated from Whiteoak High School Class of 1949. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, having served during the Korean War and a member of the American Legion. Charles was an avid hunter and good carpenter.
 
 Surviving are his loving wife of 73 years, Ruby E. Morgan, four children, John (Lynn) Morgan, Jacqueline (Forest) Greenwood, Jeffrey Morgan, and Joan (Jeff) Wiley, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Patsy Morgan and Norma Morgan, and several nieces and nephews.
 
 In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his four brothers, Harold, Herschel, Forest, and Thomas Morgan.
 
 Funeral Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 2:00 pm.  Interment will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery, Belfast, Ohio where the Highland County Honor Guard and United States Marine Corps Honor Guard will accord full military honors.
 
 Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
