Charles H. Lewis,
82, of Wilmington, passed away Monday evening, February 17th 2014 at Hospice of Dayton surround by his family. He was born March 3rd, 1931, son of the late Elmer and Imogene Lewis of Hillsboro. He was the youngest of five preceded in death by Auta Jane Foulk, and  Heber, Ralph, and James Lewis. He is survived by his wife Patricia Carl of  54 years, son Christopher Lewis (fiancé Amy Ford), daughter Colleen Smith (husband Ken Smith), and three grandchildren Jessica Lewis, Megan Pruitt, and Gregory Smith.
He was a Staff Sergeant in the Army from 1948 - 1954, stationed in Germany. He was employed at The Randall Textron Company for 36 years. He was a member of the Elks 797 for 44 years. He was a loving father and grandfather that found joy in being involved in the many activities in which his children and grandchildren participated. He loved to travel and take vacations with his wife and family. His passion was golf. He could remember every hole of every course he played and was able to fulfill one of his dreams when he attended the Masters in 2011.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry St., Wilmington.  Mr. John Hall officiating.  Interment will follow in the Auburn Cemetery, Careytown, Ohio, where the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Memorial Squad will accord full military honors.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Friday, Feb. 21 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.  The Wilmington Elks will perform their memorial service at 6:45 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, OH 45420 or Home Dialysis of Dayton, 627 Edwin C. Moses Blvd., East Medical Plaza, Suite 2B, Dayton, OH 45417, checks payable to Kidney Walk (in memory of Charles Lewis).
